Anti-wrinkle injectable treatments

Broadly speaking anti-wrinkle injections fall into two categories, facial relaxants and dermal fillers.
Facial relaxants are injections that work by temporarily weakening specific muscles to the upper part of the face to reduce or remove unwanted expression lines such as frown lines, crow’s feet and worry lines.
Dermal fillers include Restylane® and Perlane® and contain a gel which plumps out lines on the face or can also be used to make lips bigger and/or more youthful.

Your anti-wrinkle treatment – Facial relaxant

Step One
At a full and free consultation your Pearlys expert doctor will discuss your treatment needs and make suggestions to help you achieve these expectations. A full medical history will be taken to insure that the doctor knows which treatments are suitable for you. Once you have all of the relevant information you can either go ahead with a treatment right away, or if you have reservations, you will be encouraged to consider them fully before rebooking a treatment appointment at your convenience.

Step Two
If a facial relaxant is your chosen treatment your Pearlys expert doctor will administer a conservative amount using a really fine needle with several small injections. There is virtually no discomfort, the sensation has been likened to plucking a hair from your eyebrow. (The reason only a conservative amount is used is so that the doctor can perfect your treatment over 2 appointments.)

Step Three
You will be given clear written instructions on your post treatment care and a second appointment for your follow up treatment will be made for you.

Step Four

Facial relaxants take a few days to start working and 2-3 weeks to give their full effect. Your follow up appointment is planned 2-3 weeks after your initial treatment and your Pearlys doctor will examine your results and ‘top up’ your treatment as necessary. There is no additional charge for this service.

To keep your complexion looking its best you will be advised to return in 3-5 months for your next treatment.

Your anti-wrinkle treatment – Dermal Filler

Step One

Once you have all of the relevant information you can either go ahead with a treatment right away, or if you have reservations, you will be encouraged to consider them fully before rebooking a treatment appointment at your convenience.

Step Two
If Restylane® or Perlane® is your chosen treatment your Pearlys expert doctor will administer a numbing cream to the treatment area to insure maximum comfort.

Step Three
When the area is numb your Pearlys doctor will make a series of injections to fill the lines you want treated or add volume to your lips. When your treatment is complete you will be given a complete list of post treatment instructions.

Step Four
As dermal fillers take around 3 weeks for a final result to be seen you will be invited to return for a check up at this time.

To keep your complexion looking its best you will be advised to return in 6 months for your next treatment.
