On your first visit to Pearlys Clinic you will be invited to consult with one of our expert skincare aestheticians who will examine your skin and discuss your treatment expectations with you. They will then recommend a treatment regime for you and explain exactly what your recommendation involves. There is no charge for this service and no obligation to book in for treatment.

Glycolic Peels using Jan Marini products

Using a combination of Jan Marini’s cosmeseutical in clinic treatments and homecare products we can offer the best in progressive medical facial treatments to make sure your skin is as healthy and problem free as possible.

Glycolic acid is the fruit acit with the smallest molecular structure which means that it penetrates deep into the dermal layers of the skin. It then literally clears out the dead skin cells, sebum and pollutants that can cause skin problems such as acne and a dull complexion. Each peel is powerful enough to leave the skin glowing and bright and yet gentle enough to require no ‘down time’ (recovery time). This is why they are often called ‘Lunchtime Peels’; the treatment only takes between 30-45 minutes and can literally be carried out in a lunch break.

A course of 6-12 glycolic peels will dramatically reduce acne, acne scarring, pigmentation, fine lines dullness, open pores and uneven skin tone.

Glycolic peels work well in combination with Laser/IPL Rejuvenation, Anti-wrinkle injectables and Light based acne treatments and may be suggested as part of a treatment regime.

This light based acne treatment works in 3 ways:

1.    Firstly the light energy waves kill the bacteria that cause acne, drying up active acne almost immediately (within 12 hours)
2.    Secondly the light is selectively absorbed by the pigmented colour of acne scarring, lifting out the pigment to leave a more even skin tone.
3.    Thirdly the laser light ‘tricks’ the skin into thinking it’s being damaged and so it produces collagen and elastin to make the skin heal itself, this also makes the skin firmer and healthier.
